The majority of whisky flavour comes from the cask used for maturation. JA.AR Bourbon Cask is fully matured in charred first-fill ex-Bourbon casks. The charred cask imparts rich vanilla, caramel and oak notes into our single malt whisky.
JA.AR Vinsanto Cask is initially matured in charred first-fill ex-Bourbon Casks, before being finished in Greek Vinsanto Wine casks from Santorini. The casks impart a distinctive blend of fruity sweetness and subtle wine-infused notes, resulting in a unique and approachable flavour profile.
JA.AR Oloroso Cask is fully matured in toasted certified Oloroso Sherry Casks from Jerez. The Oloroso wine seasoned in the oak barrel for 12 months imparts our whisky with bold flavors of dried fruits, spiced oak, and dark chocolate, creating a robust and complex tasting profile.
